Push Jerk 5-4-3-2-1

6 rounds for time of:

6 Push Jerks, 135/95 lbs

6 Lateral Burpee Over Bars

The push jerk is the big focus of this two part day
The metcon that follows includes a moderate weight barbell and burpees
Athletes can expect this workout to take between 6-12 minutes to complete

Choose a weight for that you can complete in 1-2 sets
The bar is taken from the floor for the conditioning piece
The barbell is taken from the rack for the strength portion

There is no need to stand to full extension when jumping over the bar

The first priority today is minimizing your sets on the barbell
Find a speed on the burpees that allows you to do that
These sets of 6 are ideally completed in 1-2 sets
The less sets you do, the less power cleans (that don’t count towards your score) you have to complete just to get the weight back up
To be efficient, aim for just 6 power cleans today
It is better to slow down the burpees a touch in order to finish the push jerks in as few sets as possible
