Every 1 min for 10 mins.
70-80% 1RM
Record each set as 1 of your scores for load
Stay within the weight ranges, and if you miss, take a second before jumping back into it. We want these to be smooth.
Focus on consistency and landing in a solid position before standing the weight up.
If athletes do not have a max, then have them stay light and focus on form and getting comfortable dropping under the bar.
CrossFit Games Open 12.1
As many reps as possible in 7 mins of: Burpees
The athlete will move standing position, to flat on the ground, to touching an object with both hands that is 6 inches above their max reach.
STIMULUS and GOALS
Another grit test for you athletes. From the 2012 CrossFit Games Open (12.1), this workout is so simple and effective that it will always satisfy you no matter what shape your athletes are in. Intensity needs to stay moderate while giving a burst in the last minute with whatever’s left in the tank.
Athletes should aim for a set amount of burpees on the minute and see if they can either hold all the way through or close. 12+ on the minute is what we are looking for here, so make sure to adjust movement or height for athletes to keep a continuous push.
